Minx!

I hit up my fav nail salon's website (Zaza) and discovered they are now offering a new service. Minx! What the hell is Minx? That's what I said. It's a new type of way to wear nail art without the hassle of nail polish. They're basically stickers with some special adhesive on the back that allows them to stay on your nails. You can mix and match, as you can see, or stick with a solid pattern. Design patterns differ from Salon to Salon but you can check out what type of designs Minx have right here. Downside #1, it's kinda' bank. I didn't go to Zaza because it's like $48 for a mani set. I ended up going to Euphoria Salon in Pleasanton because it was a few dollars cheaper, $40. I suppose its not much of a diff but enough for me to justify it. Other Salons around the Bay start at $40 and go up to $75 or $80. Yeah, that's what I said. Downside #2, you have to be diligent with taking care of them and not being rough on your nails if you want to get your money's worth and make them last for up to 3 weeks. Which means, no lotion on your nail beds, drying them with a blow dryer after a shower and wearing gloves when doing dishes. I got mine done on Friday and the tips are a little frayed which is to be expected, but still. Euphoria guarantees Minx stay on for up to 7 -10 days so if anything happens in between time they'll' fix it for free. Downside #3, you're kinda' regulated to the designs the Salon has left, which is why I had to mix and match. None of the other designs appealed to me. Now for the upsides....SUPER CUTE!

Side Note: Euphoria Salon is owned by some Raiderette which conveniently has a workout room in the back. The tools needed to break a sweat....a Stripper Pole and hooker shoes. Actually, you can wear whatever feels comfortable. I snuck a peek and saw, through some sheer draping, girls twirling themselves around to music. It looked super fun, I think a new workout routine is in order. C'mon' girls ya know you want to. We can get our strip on then mani and pedi afterwards!

Side, Side Note: Sorry about the shitty photo, blame the iphone. It sux how it doesn't focus.

Thinking of Blue Skies and Clear Waters.

I hate the rain. Nothing can be more depressing to me! So I am trying to cheer myself up by remembering what I was doing around this time last year. I was here. Yep, that's my shadow, me holding the camera. Ah, serenity.

Happy Monday

So, since its been raining I thought I'd break out these rain boots that I got on sale a couple of years ago. I'm not a big fan of western wear, but they were so cute and they bring a different twist compared to your plain ol' galoshes. I didn't know when I bought them that cowboy boots would be so in (score!)! So I googled "How to wear cowboy boots" and I came across this guy's website. SO FUNNY! There is even a step by step, complete with images tutorial on how to tuck your jeans if you want to wear your boots over them. Check it out.

I never did figure out what to wear my boots with, by the way. Anyone have any suggestions?

Jeffrey Campbell "Obscene Boot"

And Obscene these are. Jeffrey Campbell knows just what I like and what to do to pull me in. How crazy do you think people would look at me walking around in San Ramon in these. Looking like I ride around on my motorcycle horse all day. Awesome. Don't know if I have the balls to pull these off, but I have assless chaps just like these so it's not a far stretch for me. I know it's a bit late for a Christmas reference but do you have the Jingle Balls to pull these off?

fUGG!

I saw these at Bloomie's yesterday. They are so comfy. They are a sleeker, lighter version of the ones I have. I am trying to find all the strength I can muster to say NO NO NO spending! I have a couple of pairs already, we all do - but how do you justify this one last pair?

They also come in brown. Lord help me!!
